A client with fear of bridges would like to run and drive without anxiety. Most therapists use a form of desensitization to reduce the anxiety, empowering the client to achieve their goal.
At Hypnosis Rising, I explain the partnership between conscious and subconscious minds, and during induction focus on gratitude for all that each part does for the other.
Then, during a second session of desensitization to bridges, the client has a strong memory of a zip line that she couldn’t get on. She was furious with herself, but now is at peace with the experience.
The subconscious was asking her “Are you still angry about that?”
Your most important relationship is your relationship with yourself. If you feel uneasy in it, let’s rebuild those bridges.
