Play (Seriously)

by | Sep 29, 2021 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

While most of us would prefer to be happy rather than anxious, we should admit that happy can be a lazy place to be. Our most creative moments are moments of play, when we shift rapidly between happy and anxious.

The difficulty arises when we have a source of stress that drives us into chronic anxiety. The brain shifts its focus to protection. What our playmates discover, much to their concern, is that we no longer see the signals that once made us happy – we see only those that create anxiety. That makes us terrible playmates.

If you find yourself in that place, I can help you regain your sense of fun!
